Volunteer Opportunities

Hi everyone. I hope you’ve had a chance to visit the market this season. It’s been great so far, and we have lots of fun stuff planned for the future. As our vendor list grows, and our set up gets a little more complicated, we’ve realized we need help with some of our tasks. That said, we wanted to reach out to all our loyal fans and see if any of you want to help us out. Here are our immediate volunteer needs.

Set Up/Tear Down Crew
We need volunteers to help set up and tear down the market equipment for every market. It’s not a glamorous job, but you will be greatly appreciated by the market managers.

Hours:
Second and fourth Saturdays through December.
Shift 1: 6:30 am to 8:00 am
Shift 2: 12:45 pm to 2:00 pm

We plan to have several volunteers trained for this position so only 2-3 people will be needed for each shift. Interested? Please contact mary@whiterocklocalmarket.com.

Music Coordinator
We are looking for someone to find musicians who want to perform at a family friendly farmers market. Musical acts are needed for the second and fourth Saturdays, June through December 2011, 10 am to 1 pm.

We are not able to pay musicians to perform, but the music coordinator could be proactive in finding sponsors to donate equipment and help pay musicians. Interested? Please contact mary@whiterocklocalmarket.com.
